FAQS
Do you offer a free initial consultation?
We offer a free 15 minute consultation to chat about your concerns and gain more information about what you are looking for in a therapist.
Do you take insurance?
No. In order to protect our client’s personal and confidential information, we have chosen not to accept insurance. This allows our clients and the therapist to work together without restrictions imposed by insurance companies as to the number of sessions we may have or the modes of therapy we may use. If you have insurance through a PPO, your plan may cover therapy sessions with an out-of-network provider like Liberation Work. We will provide you with a monthly statement or Superbill, which you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement or to apply towards your annual deductible. Please note that if your insurance does not cover the full cost of the services, you will be responsible for any remaining balance due to Liberation Work.
What are the costs of therapy?
Our fees are dependent on the therapist. The range is $150 - $265.00 per session and varies based on the type of service being rendered.
Do you offer sliding scale fees?
Yes, each therapist reserves a limited number of sliding scale spots in their caseload. To inquire about availability, please contact the therapist directly. Sliding scale rates typically range from $60.00 to $160.00, depending on the therapist and the services provided.
Are you seeing clients virtually or in person?
We are currently only seeing clients virtually. This allows us to provide flexible scheduling and maintain continuity of care regardless of your location in California. Virtual sessions are conducted via secure, HIPAA-compliant platforms to ensure your privacy and comfort.
How long are therapy sessions?
Standard therapy sessions are typically 50 minutes long. However, some sessions may be longer or shorter depending on your needs and your therapist's recommendations.
How many sessions will it take until I start to feel better?
The number of sessions needed varies for each person, depending on factors such as your specific concerns, support system, and past therapy experience. The first 3-4 sessions are typically for intake and assessment. Some clients benefit from short-term therapy (6-8 sessions), while others with more severe concerns may need longer-term therapy. It is normal to feel more emotional before noticing progress, as therapy involves discussing difficult parts of your life. Your therapist will work with you to create a personalized treatment plan.
